Example of the Paper & Label Templates page
On this page the Download Toolbar at the left has the icons discussed below, which define download types: Paper & Label Templates, Project Templates, Version Templates, Plugins, Image Library, and Skins.
The items of the Download dialog have the following meaning:
Heading: Displays the name of the Server. This text displays the used name of the Web Server from the Options dialog.
Toolbar with elements:
-- Back: This button allows you to go to a parent category if drilling down into any category. This button is disabled if none of the categories is opened.
-- Show/hide Local items: When items on the list are selected, the local (previously downloaded or installed) items are shown.
Items List View with check boxes: This list contains items of selected download type. By default, all check boxes are cleared. Because all types of download can be organized by nested catalogs on the server, but only the Image Library is catalogued on client side, there is the following convention:
-- For all download types except Image Library, currently downloaded items are placed into the "Root" of the list - the user can see them in the "Flat" list.
-- Image Library items (server and local) are located in catalogos. A catalog - is the item in the List View with a "Folder" icon. You can drill down into catalog by double clicking in this item and go back to parent catalog by clicking the Back button on toolbar.
-- When a connection with the server is established and brief item information is delivered to the client, these server items are placed into the catalogos.
-- You can navigate between catalogos and check in/out items and categories.
-- You can see the size of category (in the information pane) when this category is selected from the list.
-- For Image Libraries, downloaded items remains in the catalog. Other items are moved into "Root" or the list.
Note: You can check/uncheck items within currently opened category by mouse clicking or by the List View shortcut menu with commands - Select All and Unselect All.
Download: This button allows you to download the checked items from the server. During downloading the progress bar appears and status messages are displayed in the status bar. An item is downloaded from the server to the position where it was found. If a server item cannot be downloaded, the item icon is marked with a Red Cross. If a server item was downloaded, its mark clears and an icon becomes "local". For non- Image Library items these items are moved to the Root of the List.
For Image Library images already local, images are not downloaded (updated). During downloading this button is changed to Stop; the Refresh button is disabled. If after downloading some items cannot be placed into the destination folder (storage) if there is a locking conflict (for example, in the case of updating plug-ins), the editor will notify the user: Some items cannot be installed in MediaFACE 4.0 environment now. Application will try installing them in the next working session.
Close: When clicked closes the dialog.
Status bar:. Contains two panes - Status information and progress bar for any server operations. Available messages, which can appear in the status bar:
-- Connecting to Server Name,
-- Querying Server Name,
-- Receiving results from Server Name,
-- Getting item with ID: ItemID,
-- Closing connection from Server Name.
